How do I accept people who think differently to me?

Here's an interesting insight into why some people are extremely religious, whilst others are atheists, some are sceptics and some have a more inclusive 'live and let live' perspective.

If we do have multiple lives, it is reasonable to assume that those who may have returned many times have accumulated more wisdom and experience. In the recommended resources below there is a podcast featuring Ainslie MacLeod, who received a unique insight from his spirit guides about how our souls mature. He categorises our soul ‘age’ on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the least experienced and 10 being the ‘retirees’ who are coming to the end of their reincarnations because they have learned all they needed to on Earth. Imagine that 1 and 10 are situated on a baseline, with an upside down U-shaped line connecting them. The soul age of 5 would be situated at the top and the furthest point from the baseline.  The baseline represents Source or God, and our proximity to Source depending on our ‘soul age’. 

The 1s are often religious but tend to live simple lives, residing in small communities and having the least complex jobs, sometimes artisans working with their hands as bakers, labourers etc. whilst they get used to life on Earth. The 2s have a fairly common characteristic of being religious, often intolerant of people who have different approaches to life - religious fundamentalists are often 2s whilst the 3s place an importance on family and community. The. 5s are half-way through their journey and are least interested in religion, often being politicians or business people who are most interested in making money or having power over others  rather than having spiritual meaning in their lives. The 6s become more sceptical about politics etc, wondering if life should have more meaning, the 8s tend to be campaigners for change, and the 9s are reviewing their life, much more tolerant of others and embrace spirituality without religion. Finally the 10s are the soul 'retirees' who are winding down their experience on Earth, are here to support others rather than change the world. None of these stages are better than the others, they just reflect the level of expertise that we all go through - we are all doing the best we can depending on what level of experience we have reached.
